The History of the Church
This survey of the two-thousand-year history of the Catholic Church presents a completely original perspective on historical events. History books generally portray the history of the Church as the evolution of political phenomena and relationships between purely human institutions, offering interpretations based on secular historical judgments.
In this work, however, the author emphasizes the Church and its Popes as a direct expression of Jesus Christ, and therefore approaches history from a supernatural perspective. The result is a supernatural complement to the commonly accepted secular understanding of history.
Beginning with the Resurrection and concluding with the Second Vatican Council, this History, although never formally published as a book, has been placed in that category because it possesses all the characteristics of a published work: a title, chapters, pagination, a coherent subject, and a continuous narrative development.
